Our Littles & Bigs
Little Brother Joey writes to his Big Brother Bill:
It is amazing how you changed my life in so many ways. I have a male friend that I can count on at all times, someone I can talk to "man-to-man". You love the same things I do, which is NASCAR racing, baseball, basketball and bowling. I also really appreciate all the times you helped coach my sports. It is just awesome! Even though we do have a lot in common, there are some things we don´t. For instance, you don´t like rollercoasters,which I really love them. That would be great if I could get you on one with me one day, but it is OK if you can´t. We also like different football teams, you like the Cowboys, and I like the Eagles.
You make me a more confident person, and you have shown me so much in life. I have experienced things that I never thought with you. Your family also welcomes me with open arms, and I have another family I can count on.
I just want to say Thank You for all the wonderful things we have together and everything you did for me. I may not say it much, but I really do appreciate everything, and don´t ever think I do not. Not a day goes by that I don´t think how lucky I am to have you. Thank you, Love you.

Big Sister Kelly writes: Through receiving a recent Big Brothers Big Sisters flyer in the mail, I was reminded that this March marks 5 years that Cheryl and I have been matched! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by. Over those 5 years I have watched a shy 9-year-old child blossom into a beautiful, more confident 13-year-old. Some things we enjoy doing together include going to the movies, bowling, arcade, and out for ice cream. We laugh together and have a lot of fun when we meet up. I enjoy her company and the conversations we share. I was so proud of Cheryl when she excitedly called me to tell me how well she did on her most recent report card. In past years I have learned that school didn´t come easy for Cheryl. With a lot of hard work and the confidence to make the changes for academic excellence, Cheryl has been succeeding. I want nothing but the best for Cheryl, and I hope that she continues to try hard for ultimate success. An anonymous quote reads, "Friends are the most imporant ingredient in this recipe of life." Cheryl continues to be a special part of my life, and I hope our friendship continue to grow as I continue to be her "Big."
